energy

Synthos is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in manufacturing by 28% per GJ by 2028, using self-produced and purchased energy. In 2020 the company opened the first solar farm in Oświęcim with a total capacity of 1 MW and is building more.

Raw Materials

Synthos produces according to ISCC Plus standards. The company earned 10 ISCC Plus certificates in 5 countries: Poland, Czechia, Germany, France & The Netherlands for nearly 20 installations. Since June 2022 the company sold 267 tonnes of rubber compliant with ISCC Plus standard, which is an international certification system for all sustainable raw materials and closed loop materials based on mass balance. In November 2023, Synthos also received a certificate confirming the use of recycled by-product materials in the InVento OPTIMA 800 FRE product which comes from post consumer waste market.

Reduction on Household
emission

Synthos supports local governments in reducing household emissions. The company provided funding to the city and the municipality of Oświęcim to implement programmes to replace old furnaces and connect homes to the city heating network.

Promoting
biodiversity

Synthos is a partner of the City of Oświęcim in the implementation of an educational nature trail in the protected area within the nature and landscape complex "The river Soła valley" in Oświęcim.

YOUNG SPORTSMEN

Synthos supports young sportsmen from student sports club, including football players and ice-skaters. Moreover, several dozens of local amateur football teams from small towns have received football uniforms thanks to the company.

Generation

Synthos Generation is a program addressed to doctoral and final-year chemistry students, for the Research and Development Division, in which participants carry out jointly defined research and development projects. Through the implementation of this Synthos program, we maintain ongoing contact with universities and research units and the student community. Synthos have been running a scholarship programme for students since 2011. So far, 32 people have participated in the programme, and now 8 people are researching and writing their master‘s and PhD theses in collaboration with Synthos.

Teaching
chemistry

The company also conducts an educational programme “Teaching Chemistry” for primary school pupils in Oświęcim. The company's ambition is to raise awareness and shape ecological attitudes.

Chemical technology
class

In this program, Synthos is supporting classes with the chemical technology technician profile. The goal is to prepare students theoretically and practically to work in technical positions in the production area, especially in quality laboratories and R&D. Students undergo one-month apprenticeships at Synthos in individual production departments. A monthly scholarship is paid to students who excel and are committed to their studies to enable extracurricular further training in the chemical field. The program has been implemented in 2013.
